Our History

PROMISES12 was born in 2010 with a desire to have a positive impact in our community and fill the gap for “DWI SPECIFIC” services in North Carolina. PROMISES12 quickly became a premiere “DWI SPECIFIC” provider and is currently one of the longest serving independent, family-owned providers of “DWI SPECIFIC” services in the state.

Experienced professionals

Unlike many providers, “DWI SPECIFIC” service with PROMISES12 is not an add on or sideline service but our sole service, allowing us to totally concentrate on “DWI and we do it well.” We provide services following the guidelines of NC DWI, the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board and the values of National Association of Social Workers.

It's the Law

A DWI Substance use Assessment is required by law for anyone convicted of Driving While Impaired in North Carolina. Getting your DWI assessment prior to court is a mitigating factor in court and could lessen the level of punishment you may receive.

Treatment

Substance use treatment or education is required of everyone convicted of Driving While Impaired in North Carolina.  Depending on the level recommended by the assessment, classes or treatment may last from 16 hours to 89 hours.

Advantages

Enrolling in or completing the recommended treatment before court is also a mitigating factor and may be an advantage at the trial.  PROMISES12 recommends that you enroll at the time of your assessment if further services are required.
